Beatriz Aldana Marquez
Beatriz Aldana Marquez, BA '12, is currently a master's student in Sociology at Texas A&M researching the construction of masculinity in Mexican culture. She is focusing on charro groups in urban and rural Mexico. As a TA during spring semester, she got to work with a professor who does ethnographic work on towns that have suffered from natural disasters. She says that she still uses a lot of her gender and sexuality studies background in all of her work, which, she says, "is the best thing about my program."
