MAPH Option in Gender and Sexuality Studies

We are proud to offer the Gender and Sexuality Studies Option to students enrolled in University of Chicago Master of Arts Program in the Humanities who have completed the following requirements:

  • The MAPH Core Course.
  • A graduate-level foundation course in gender and sexuality, e.g., “Advanced Theories of Gender and Sexuality” or an equivalent graduate-level course.
  • At least three additional courses in gender and sexuality studies. These may be cross-listed courses or equivalent non-cross listed courses approved by the graduate chair.
  • A major research paper with a substantial gender/sexuality component.

All four courses must be taken for a “quality grade,” i.e., not an R or a P.

For more information please see http://maph.uchicago.edu/gender-and-sexuality-studies-option and/or contact the CSGS Student Affairs Administrator at studentaffairsgss@lists.uchicago.edu.
